Cleaning out our air ducts to improve our indoor air quality

I call my stepdad Jim, not Dad, but he really is the only father I have ever known. My real dad cut out on my mom and me when I was five, and fifty years later I can honestly say I don’t remember him at all. My mom married Jim when I was ten, and he has been a steady and reliable figure in my life ever since. Jim just retired a few months ago, and forty years of running his own business, and he is settling into a new chapter in his life. Jim was an expert in heating and cooling repair, with a passion for making his own custom ductwork. Jim was raised by a metalsmith, and knew how to make his own sheet metal, and then create ductwork from it. After selling his business Jim is set for money for the rest of his life, but he is missing his old life. Making ductwork and working on HVAC systems was what he did for so long, he doesn’t know how to do anything else. He plays golf, and has hobbies, but there is a big void in Jim, so he is going back to making ductwork again, just for fun. He contacted the new owner of his old company and offered to work part-time and make all the air ducts, grates, and vents the man needed for his jobs. He is basically doing the same thing he used to do, only for a lot less money, and with no stress involved. Now he just gets to make ductwork, and doesn’t have to manage a business.
