Inflation is upon us and it effects everything everywhere you go.

It has even made it so my business had to raise its prices.

I am an independent heating and air conditioning contractor and because of the cost of living and other things going up, my prices needed to go up by 40 percent. This did not make a lot of my regular client base very happy and I ended up losing a few. But they will soon see that it will be no different if they call the local heating and air conditioning company to take care of all of their HVAC home service needs. Heating and air conditioning home services are not going to get much cheaper as time goes on. If anything they are going to keep going up more and more if inflation continues to rise. That is just the way of life unfortunately. If there ever comes a time where I can afford to lower my rates back to what they used to be I will. But it can not affect my living. That is the major issue. If I did not have to pay higher living costs I would have left my heating and air conditioning home service rates the same. I am sure other independent heating and air conditioning contractors are also facing this issue with being forced to increase their rates. I do not see an even higher increase needed in my heating and air conditioning home services anytime in the near future which is a good thing I suppose. So we will wait and see.

Making ductwork and working on HVAC systems was what he did for so long, he doesn’t know how to do anything else. He plays golf, and has hobbies, but there is a big void in Jim, so he is going back to making ductwork again, just for fun. He contacted the new owner of his old company and offered to work part-time and make all the air ducts, grates, and vents the man needed for his jobs. He is basically doing the same thing he used to do, only for a lot less money, and with no stress involved. Now he just gets to make ductwork, and doesn’t have to manage a business.
